The core of our current  U7 age group have been together since they were aged 5 although the squad will expand to 25 players for the 2024/25 season. 

We train outdoors at 9.30am every Saturday morning at Adastra park although often use Belmont or the 3G pitch at Downlands when the Adastra pitches are either unavailable or become unplayable. The sessions last for approx 1 ¼ hour with a focus on fun and enjoyment but we include coaching drills to improve individual player’s ability and technical skills and generally finish each session with a 20 minute game. 

U7 Players will get regular opportunities to play 5 a side or 6 a side friendly matches against same age/ same ability groups from other clubs (we played 16 fixtures last season) and in addition to this we have entered two teams into the 2024/5 Crowborough and District Junior Football league where up to 20 of our more experienced players will be registered to play additional matches..

Towards the end of the season the squad will enter local tournaments and we also provide opportunities for the players to play at the Seniors stadium at the Beacon during our annual end of season award club tournament and to be mascots for the Seniors first team who play in the Southern Combination Premier League.

We currently have 5 coaches including one female coach for the U7 group although will be expanding this to 6/7 for the forthcoming season.  All are parents of children in the group, but Hassocks FC is a FA charter standard club and therefore coaches adhere to FA standards of coaching with DBS checks, first aid training, skills training etc.
