Adastra Match Day Café – Volunteers Required
Hassocks Junior FC are looking for a volunteer (or volunteers) to run our match day café at Adstra Park.
Hassocks Junior FC is an FA Standard Chartered Club providing football for nearly 400 boys and girls in Hassocks and the surrounding area. We are able to use the Adastra Park pavilion on match days as a café which, as well as enhancing the match day experience for all our players, coaches, parents and visitors, is also an important fundraiser for the club.
The café sells teas, coffees, bacon rolls and other snacks. It has been successfully run by a parent and older sibling of a player for a few years but they have stepped down now that the older sibling is university.
We run it from 8:30am till 11:30am on a Saturday during the football season, and the person, or people would have complete control – buying the stock, running the café and keeping accounts – paying profit into the club account on a monthly basis.
It’s an enjoyable, sociable morning, with a lot of extremely friendly people using the café. The person who runs it will need a basic food hygiene certificate. This can be obtained through an online course that the club will, of course, pay for.
If you are interested in helping us out or would just like to know some more information about the role please contact Jason Roberts on chairman@hassocksjuniorfc.co.uk
